Sunday night came too soon, but the entire island was quiet and peaceful.
On Monday morning, Yulia woke up at the crack of dawn to tend their new garden.
Cesar was in a hurry to get ready for work and nearly choked on his breakfast from eating so fast!
Alexei was disappointed that he had to go to school. He wanted to stay home with his mom like he was used to.
“Why do we have to go to school?” he asked his big sister when they got off the bus.
“Because this isn’t a vacation,” she told him. “We live here now.”
Cesar was grumpy after his first day of work in Sunlit Tides because he still had a full line-up of meetings to attend all around town.
Natasha was feeling totally revitalized by their move though. She went out for a jog to get some fresh sea air and take some scenic photographs to advance in her freelance photography career.
Yulia made a new best friend on her first day in her new school. Alastair Adams invited her over to his house after school. “You’ve really got some crazy hair!” she told him politely.
Natasha was at home to greet Alexei when he got there. “How was your first day of school?” she asked as she gave him a big hug.
“I had an awesome day!” he told her with great enthusiasm. “I love this town and I love our new house!”
Midnight was having an equally enjoyable time settling into their new place.
Cesar went to his last meeting for the day at the military base.
When he got home, he headed straight for the sauna. After a minute, Natasha popped in to join him.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” she asked him suggestively.
“Always!” he replied with a laugh.
Yulia went out fishing before returning home that night. She caught several perfect jellyfish and the most adorable blow fish she’d ever seen.
After their sauna, Cesar gave Natasha a relaxing massage. “I’m really glad we came here,” he told her. “I had a stressful day, but I already feel so much better!”
“Mmmm, me too…” she groaned with pleasure as he rubbed her shoulders.
Cesar and Midnight won their first cross-country race that night.
Afterward, Cesar went to a local bar, where he met several celebrities. He had a great debate about politics with the local politician, Kai Kahale, in the mens’ room!
That night, Natasha went out for some fun and put an end to the peace and quiet of Sunlit Tides. “Kaboom!” she shouted with glee as her first fireball lit up the night.
“I love this hobby,” she mused to herself after cleaning up the mess she’d made.
