Iconic Model Challenge Week 2: Eviction and Alliances

Last week, the best photos of each model in the Iconic Model Challenge were presented to the readers to judge.  The votes are in and it’s time for the models to receive their weekly evaluations.  First, I would like to reveal the results of the second weekly giveaway: everyone who voted on the last post was entered in a list and randomized.

The winner is DLiva.  Congratulations, and thank you to everyone who participated in the first elimination vote!

The weekly model evaluations began on Saturday morning in the model house.  Harley called Gabrielle in first and said, “I’m proud of you, Gabrielle.  You worked hard this week, and you produced excellent photos.  No one voted to eliminate you from the competition.”

Gabrielle let out a sigh of relief.  “I’m so glad to hear that!”

“It doesn’t mean you’re completely safe though,” he explained.  “Your photo shoot in the graveyard wasn’t very impressive because you really let the environment effect you.  You’ve got to keep yourself focused on your task as a model, and don’t let your surroundings or make-over psyche you out.”

Next up, it was Yvette’s turn.

“You’re safe this week, Yvette,” Harley assured her.  “You produced some very impressive work in the photo shoots, and it could lead to an advertising campaign with one of our clients after this competition.  Just know that if you start to feel like we’re pushing you, it’s only because you have so much obvious potential.”

When Ariel came in next for her weekly evaluation, Harley informed her, “You received one elimination vote, so you’re going to have to kick it up a notch this week if you want to stay in the competition.  Right now I feel as if you’re hiding behind your hair too much, and you need to be more daring in your shoots.  Try new looks, and don’t be afraid to change your hair if it’ll lead to you becoming a more versatile model.”

Jessica was called in next, and she was told, “Some people were not very impressed with your performance this week.  Two people voted to evict you from the house.  You need to work harder on your photo shoots and let your personality shine through a little more.”

Harley wasn’t as easy on Karlie during her weekly evaluation.  “Some people, including me, were really disappointed in your unprofessional behaviour during the first photo shoot last week.  You never leave a shoot until the work is finished!  Your photos also weren’t as good as they could’ve been: you looked too pale in the graveyard and almost sunburned on the beach.”

The weekly evaluation was most severe for Malala though.  Harley told her, “You came so close to being kicked out of this competition because of your performance last week.  Leaving the photo shoot early was such a bad mistake on your part, especially when your only photo produced in that shoot was boring at best!  You have to stop being so arrogant and really put some effort into this competition if you want to stay in it, but I’m doubtful that you will last any longer than this week, to tell you the truth.”

Finally it was time to deliver the last evaluation to the model who was voted out: Rei Matsuri.  “You’ve been eliminated from this competition by a single vote,” Harley told her.  “Some people said you were their least favourite, and that you lacked expression.  I voted for you too because you’re the most difficult girl to work with in this house.  You produced a few decent photos last week, but most of the time you looked cross-eyed or intoxicated.  Getting a good shot of you is too challenging for you to be successful as a model, so it’s time for you to pack your bags and leave the model house.”

“That’s it?” Rei asked in a dejected tone of voice.

“Yes, that’s it.  You’re just not cut out for this type of work, Rei.”

After the evaluations, the remaining models were allowed to add a new every day outfit to their wardrobes.  They were encouraged to express their personalities while trying to improve their overall look.  The rest of the weekend would be free time for them.

During the afternoon, we began to notice alliances forming amongst the models.  Karlie and Malala convinced Gabrielle to side with them and promised to help her win if they didn’t have a chance to stay in the house much longer.  “We can help you impress Harley and get the best photos,” they promised.

On Sunday night, Karlie and Ariel had harsh words with each other and Jessica seemed caught in the middle of it.

Ariel was upset by the confrontation, but Yvette cheered her up with a little gossip about the two least popular girls in the house.

When Monday morning rolled around, the girls were called out onto to the back deck to learn about this week’s skill challenge.  They couldn’t help but notice a row of brand new treadmills set up on the deck.

“You guessed it–this week’s skill challenge is all about athletics!” Harley announced.  “An iconic model must be in peak physical condition, but not too muscular.  This week you’ll be focusing on cardio exercise and fitness.”

“You’ll each get a personal fitness lesson at the local stadium to help get you started,” Harley explained.  “Later this week, you’ll be competing in a sport challenge, so you better get in shape!”

Stay tuned for another episode of the Iconic Model Challenge this Wednesday, when you’ll get to see the girls compete at sports and have their first photo shoot of the new week.  Will Gabrielle get sucked in by Malala and Karlie, and will Jessica be forced to choose between her two best friends in the house?  Find out next time 😉

This looks like a fun! I think I’ll have to read on and participate in voting. I always like the Next Top Model show, never thought about doing it in a Sims game form though. When does the next post come out, and when do people vote?

The next post will be published later today. The weekly votes open on Fridays and remain open until Monday morning (Eastern European Time). I’m glad you’re interested in taking part–it seems the readers have really enjoyed the voting especially! Last time, many of the comments submitted by readers inspired the weekly evaluations for the models 😀 Thanks for reading!
