Last week, the best photos of each model were presented to the readers to judge. The votes have been counted and the winner of the third weekly giveaway has been randomly selected. Here are the results of the random draw.
The winner of the third weekly giveaway is Homeworker! Congratulations, and thanks to everyone who participated in the last vote and helped determine this week’s elimination.
After reviewing the results of the latest poll, Harley gave each model her weekly evaluation. Yvette was called into the office first.
“This week you participated in two photo shoots with some of our clients,” Harley said to Yvette. “Both of the clients were very pleased with your work and purchased several of your photographs. You also won the athletic skill challenge, and got to visit the local occult shop as your prize. After your visit, the shop owner contacted our agency and requested you for their next ad campaign! You got your first modelling contract, so even if you don’t win this competition, you will have work in this business.”
Yvette was thrilled by the news, and Ariel was called in next for her evaluation.
“I have good news for you,” Harley told her. “After your great photo shoot at the gym, our client selected you to be their next spokesmodel! You’ve earned your first modelling contract. However, our second client last week was not as impressed with your work and they complained that your hair was nearly the same colour as the walls in their restaurant. I think your hair colour is a double edged sword for you because some clients will love it, while others will be turned off by it. It could restrict you in this line of work.”
Next up, it was Malala’s turn to receive her evaluation.
“You surprised me this week,” Harley began. “Last week you were nearly eliminated from this competition, and this time you only got one vote against you! This week you performed well in both of your photo shoots, and although the clients chose other models for their campaigns, both of them said they would consider working with you in the future. If you continue to improve, you just might have a chance at a modelling career.”
Afterwards, Jessica was called into the office. Harley told her, “You received a couple of votes this week, including one from me. I have a hard time photographing you sometimes because you don’t position yourself well and you have a blank expression most of the time. Your photos are often boring, or you’re not showing your best side at all. You need to work on your angles and express your personality more.”
Gabrielle was finally called in for her evaluation, and she knew it wouldn’t go well. “You disappointed me this week,” Harley told her. “You’re the Fan Favourite, yet you received three elimination votes this week. Your biggest problem is you rely too heavily on your hair style, and whenever we get you to experiment with other styles, your photos come out awkward–to put it gently. If you want to succeed as a model, you have to work the looks you’re given.”
Finally, it was Karlie’s turn to be evaluated. Harley sat her down and said, “I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that our clients were both pleased with your work this week and most of your photos were sold. Our restaurant client selected you for their next campaign, so you do have work as a model now.”
“However, the fans voted to eliminate you from this competition. Your behaviour is the main reason you’ve been kicked out of this competition,” Harley explained. “You lack people skills, which are absolutely vital in this line of work. How you look in your photos will only get you so far because no one wants to work with a model who argues, leaves photo shoots early, or tries to undermine others or cheat in any way. I hope for your sake that you can improve your behaviour and have a better attitude after all of this.”
Karlie packed her belongings and left the model house just before dinner time. As predicted by the readers, things were a lot more pleasant after Karlie was removed from the competition. The remaining models were allowed to pick another new outfit for themselves, and they enjoyed hanging out with one another on their free day.
On Sunday morning, Malala made peace with the other models and apologized for siding with Karlie after the first eviction. The friendly attitude spread throughout the house and the girls had a great time socializing with one another.
As usual, Gabrielle was being her goofy self and everyone was quite amused by her antics. The only drama came in the afternoon, when there was a slight disagreement over comic book trivia!
After a brief nerdy argument, the girls were back to gossip and giggles.
In the morning, the models were called out on the back deck to learn about the next skill challenge.
“An Iconic Model must have good moves and be able to express herself with her body. This week, you’ll be working on your dance skills,” Harley announced. “This afternoon, you’ll receive dance instruction at the Skylight Studio for the Performing Arts, and you’ll have four days to learn club dancing and any other style you enjoy.”
At the dance studio, the models were introduced to club dancing, and then Harley showed them his favourite dance: the mascot dance.
Stay tuned for another episode of the Iconic Model Challenge. Which of these models will be the best dancer, and how will their next photo shoot turn out? Find out on Wednesday!
